A few things to consider when you make a Dialogic purchase on EBay.

Ask yourself:

How can a board be new, if  Intel/Dialogic has not produced it for years??
The word new is used very loosely on EBay.

Is your seller really trying to sell on EBay or are they just trying to get you to call?

If you deal direct, what is your protection?

If a listing says:  "AS IS",  this can often be translated to "BAD BOARD".

Dialogic's UDD does not detect all problems with a board.
As far as we know we are the only seller that tests beyond UDD. We have completed many field installs. We know, when you get a bad board, it truly ruins your day. Sometimes it ruins your week!  If the point is to save money, we think, we are your best bet in the long run.

Any board starting with DTI can not play voice files. This includes the DTI/480SC.

A D/240SC is not a T1 board. A D/240SC-T1 is.

A D/240SC-2T1 has 2 T1's but only 24 voice resources.

A D/480JCT-1T1 has 1 T1 ( not 2) and 48 voice resources. Follow the same logic for the D/300SC-2E1 and D/600JCT-1E1.

There is no way to tell the difference between a D/480JCT-1T1 and D/480JCT-2T1.  In fact they are both labeled D/480JCT-2T1 by Intel!  You will notice the difference when you try to bring up 2 T1's however.
We have spoken with many people who have wasted a week on this problem!

A MSI/C is not the same as a MSI/SC.

A MSI PCI takes a different cable than the MSI/SC

A board listed "MSI/240SC with 2 SI/80SC daughter boards", is just a MSI/240SC.  If it didn't have the 2 daughter cards it would be a MSI/80SC

A D/160SC-LS Hiz (and other Hiz boards) can not make calls or play voice files.

Many boards are photographed upside down to hide the fact that it is a Rev 1. Look at the board carefully.  If it is a T1 or E1 and it is double thickness, it is a Rev 1.

Most Rev 1 can not play WAV files (only VOX) and do not support ISDN PRI.

Often sellers leave off the designation from foreign boards.  The D/41ESC-UK is not the same board as a D/41ESC.  The UK has a different ring voltage than the US. (Also different caller ID.)

Save yourself some grief.  If you are buying a D/41ESC, buy a Rev C.

Look at a sellers feedback "Left For Others". This may give you some insite into your sellers disposition.

We hope this helps.   Email us:  pdq@bellsouth.net  and let us know what you think.
